We want everyone to find a place to belong at Woven St Margaret’s. Our circles are smaller groups where you can do life with others , grow in your faith as you go deep together, and support one another as you step out in faith.

Our circles take many different shapes and sizes. They meet at different times and in different places so we’re sure you’ll find one to fit you! We want everyone to find their circle!

ROOTED

Led by Lizzie, Gavin & Emma

Meeting:

Families Social (everyone together including kids!) once each half term on a Sunday after church.

Ladies - 2nd and 4th Friday each month 9.15am

Men - rhythms being established

  • Ephesians 3:17-19

    ‘And I pray that you, being ROOTED and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God’

    As a community we want to be ROOTED in Him, knowing and grasping His deep love and filled to the measure of all the fullness of God! We also commit to building strong relationships with each other as well as reaching out to those who don’t know Jesus.


TREASURED

Led by Hannah and Kelley

Meeting:

Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month to pray together, dig into Scripture, and walk alongside one another through all seasons of life.

  • We are Treasured, a group of women, many of us navigating faith and life independently or in unique family situations, committed to growing in faith and building authentic community.

    We meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month to pray together, dig into Scripture, and walk alongside one another through all seasons of life.

    Whether we’re celebrating a win or facing a challenge, we show up for each other with encouragement, accountability, and grace. Most of all, we’re learning to love one another well, just as Christ loves us.

    Galatians 6:2 suggests that being a Christian does not mean we won't have burdens. We will. However, Paul wanted us to share our burdens and not battle them on our own. We hope to embody that as a group.

THRIVE

Led by Paul & Laura Ward.

Meeting:

Trive men meet every other week in Church vestry on a Tuesday evening.

Trive ladies meet mostly on monday evenings but rythms are still emerging!

  • In 2024 after much prayer and discernment Paul and Laura took the decision to transition Thrive into Male and Female for the purpose of ‘going deeper’ in faith and prayer.

    Thrive Men now meet in the Church vestry on a Tuesday evening every other week. At present they are reading a book around Bible Prophecy. There are regularly 7 men that gather for this.

    Thrive Ladies have yet to fully establish a new routine but tend to meet for food, Bible study, Prayer on a Monday evening and include wider activities such as Woven in Prayer, quiz nights, coffee gatherings with some ladies from other Circles and Ladies of no Church background.

    The vision is for each person to grow and to thrive in a Christ centered life.


WILMSHURST CIRLCE

Led by John Wilmshurst

Meeting:

Every Wednesday afternoon at 3pm at various locations.

  • We have met for many years and 4 of us are originals. We meet on  Wednesday afternoons at 3.00pm. Our meetings can be structured in different ways. We might decide to read and discuss a book of the bible over several weeks. We might decide to read Evensong expanding it with our own questions and answers. Sometimes we have joined in the regular service from Iona. Occasionally the programme has to be set aside because a particular issue has arisen about which one member has particular concerns. We then find ourselves listening, praying and singing. The group is very good at sharing  the happy times of life but also the difficulties as well. Of course we always end with tea and biscuits allowing folk to air any other matters that they haven’t otherwise been able to do. We set no time limits to this!


CINDERHILL CIRCLE

Led by Emmie, Sam and Beth

Meeting:

Every other wednesday at 7:30pm

in houses.

  • Looking for a place to ask honest questions and grow in your faith? Our Circle meets every other wednesday at 7:30pm for real conversations about life, purpose, and what it means to follow Jesus. whether you’re exploring or committed, there’s a seat for you.

ENCOUNTER

Led by Helen Ballinger and Rachel McCash

Meeting:

We meet on the 2nd  and 4th Thursday of the month at 7pm (usually in church).

  • We are learning to encounter God in our everyday lives. We do this by spending time together- worshipping, sharing, praying for each other and social activities!

SEEKERS

Led by David and Jane Ward.

Meeting:

Every thursday morning at church during Woven Cafe.

  • Seekers meets during Woven Cafe held at St Margaret’s every Thursday morning. We are keen to gather a small group to read the bible and pray together. We serve by offering pastoral support and prayer for anyone who comes to the cafe. We’d love to hear from you if you’d like to join Seekers or just pop into café and come and find us!
